Obtained a third-party statement on Green House Gas emissions

MITSUI E&S Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Takeyuki Takahashi; hereinafter ‘MITSUI E&S’) is pleased to announce that it has obtained “Verification Opinion”(hereinafter “statement”) from SGS Japan Inc. , the Japanese subsidiary of SGS SA, an international certification organization based in Geneva, Switzerland, to enhance the reliability of its data on greenhouse gas emissions and energy usage for the fiscal year 2023.

MITSUI E&S has identified 'creating a decarbonized society' as one of its material issues and is actively working on reducing CO₂ emissions through the market introduction of environmentally friendly products and the reduction of CO₂ emissions from its production activities.

By obtaining a statement for the CO₂ emissions from the products and production activities, MITSUI E&S is now able to provide its stakeholders with more transparent and reliable data. Additionally, MITSUI E&S has also begun calculating its Scope 3 CO₂ emissions (emissions from its supply chain).

MITSUI E&S will continue to advance its efforts towards the creating a decarbonized society and aim to further enhance its corporate value by appropriately disclosing data based on high transparency and reliability.”
